Sexualizing, eroticizing & fetishizing children We all know that sex sells... everything from cars to clothing to kitchen appliances; advertisers have found that sales increase when provocative images are used in advertisements. Recently, web sites featuring child "models" have been targeted as thinly veiled ventures to sell erotic images of children, some as young as three to five years of age. The images below show a recent advertisement. The advert is for a real estate company. Why they felt the need to include the image shown is anyone's guess. For further information on society's need to sexualize children see Erotic Innocence: The Culture of Child Molesting and Sexualized Children: Assessment and Treatment of Sexualized Children and Children Who Molest.
