General norms determined by the Criminal
Code and the Code of Transgressions of Administrative Law of the Republic of Lithuania are
applied for sexual abuse against adults and children in Lithuania. The Criminal Code
foresees responsibility for rape (article 118), forcing a woman into a sexual relation
(119), sexual relations with a non-puberty person (Article 120) and for depraving
actions(121). Article 122 "Sexual intercourse between two men ". This article
provides punishment for enforced male homosexual relations as well as for performing by an
adult male of a sex act on a male under 18 years of age. Article 242 " production and
distribution of pornographic articles. (The Code of Transgression of Administrative Law
foresees responsibility for prostitution (article 182).)
These Codes do not foresee punishable responsibility for commercial sexual exploitation of
children.
